Restore and Protect Your Smile with Dental Crowns at Hidden Valley Smiles

A dental crown is a custom-made cap that fully covers a damaged or weakened tooth, restoring its shape, size, and strength. Crowns are often used when a tooth cannot be repaired with a filling or other conservative treatment.

Porcelain crowns are a popular choice because they closely mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. At Hidden Valley Smiles, we use high-quality porcelain to ensure your crown blends seamlessly with your smile—providing both durability and aesthetic appeal. With proper care, your crown can last for many years.

Why You Might Need a Crown

We may recommend a crown for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Protecting a broken or fractured tooth

  • Restoring a decayed or worn-down tooth

  • Enhancing the appearance of a tooth

  • Replacing a large or failing filling

  • Strengthening a tooth after a root canal

Before recommending any treatment, we'll discuss all available options with you. We believe in a collaborative approach to dental care and want you to feel informed and confident in your choices.

What to Expect During the Crown Procedure

Getting a crown typically involves two visits:

First Appointment:

  • We’ll take precise impressions of your tooth to create a custom crown.

  • A temporary crown will be placed to protect the tooth while your permanent crown is being made.

  • The tooth will be gently shaped, and any decay will be removed to prepare for the final crown.

Second Appointment:

  • Your temporary crown will be removed, and the new crown will be fitted and adjusted for proper bite and alignment.

  • Once everything looks and feels right, the crown will be permanently cemented in place.

After your procedure, we’ll provide instructions for caring for your crown and recommend regular checkups to ensure it stays in great shape.
